The Coaching Process
Executive coaching utilizes a logical process that produces demonstrated improvement in performance and creates personal and professional growth. The process includes the following steps:
Framing - an initial discussion of what you want to achieve.
Assessment - You will gain a better understanding your style, and your strengths and limitations through the use of on-line and interview-based 360 questionnaires, and other assessment instruments as indicated.
Goal Setting - Once a more thorough understanding is achieved, you and Dr. Miller will discuss the issues, your approaches, and set specific and measurable coaching goals that reflect the desired outcomes or new behaviors that will make you successful.
Action Planning - Successfully changing behavior requires a definite plan of action that is specifically designed to help you overcome the barriers standing in the way of your success. You and Dr. Miller will customize an action plan that will work for you based on your unique personality, learning style, and action taking preferences.
Creating Your Personal Change-System - The change system includes identifying a few selected others within your organization that can help you reach you goals (peer coaches), and creating rewards that will encourage you as you accomplish your goals.
On-Going Coaching Sessions - During the course of the coaching engagement, you and Dr. Miller will regularly meet in person or by telephone to discuss your progress in reaching your goals.
